Declare Your Major

If you are an IUPUI student who is not in the School of Science or a current School of Science major who wants change your degree or pursue multiple majors in the School of Science:

1. Please review the Internal Admissions Requirements before applying.

2. Complete the Internal Admissions Application online.

Admissions decisions will take 4-6 weeks.

Students will be notified of admissions decision through regular mail.

Other Programs

BS/MS Dual Degree

Applicants must be current IUPUI students pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science. Students apply during their sophomore year and begin taking graduate courses during their junior year. Admission is based on satisfactory academic progress. A minimum IU (IUPUI) cumulative GPA of 3.2.

Complete the application online or in the Department of Computer & Information Science, SL 280.

Undergraduate Certificate in Applied Computer Science

Requires a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and enrollment or successful completion (no grade below C–) of MATH-M118 Finite Mathematics or higher OR PHIL-P162 Logic OR PHIL-P265 Introduction to Symbolic Logic.

Students must declare their intent to earn this certificate prior to completing the core requirements (9 credit hours). No more than 9 credit hours earned prior to admission to the program will be accepted toward the certificate.

Minors

Computer science minors are available to current IUPUI undergraduates only. Upon starting the program, students should consult an advisor, who can be reached at (317) 274-9727.  Students must apply for the minor to have it placed on their record once all courses have been satisfactorily completed.
