Final Project Plan
Purpose
Begin your final project, including a site plan, layout design, and
audience analysis.
Site Description
Describe your site briefly. Answer at least the following questions:
- What's the main point of the site?
- What problem are you trying to solve
- What's the main message?
- What's the overall feel?
Audience Analysis
Describe your anticipated target audience. Consider at least the
following factors:
- Age, Gender, Interest level
- Technical Skill
- Bandwidth and Technology
- Browser Issues
- Plugin availability
- Flexibility
Site Plan
A modern web design usually consists of many interconnected pages.
Diagram the purpose of these pages and how they will fit together:
- Sketch a hierarchy or list of pages
- Consier how pages will be linked
- Will there be a menu system?
- Will all pages link to each other?
- Is it a balanced design?
Page Design Template
Build the CSS and HTML template for your typical page. This template
should consider the following things:
- The overall page look (diagram), primary color scheme
- A list of elements on the page (banner, menu, blocks, links)
- For each element:
- element name
- background and foreground colors
- Font names, sizes, alternate fonts, alignment
- padding, margin, and border considerations
- position details (height, width, x,y) and measurement types used
- Turn in a detailed drawing and text description of the overall layout.
