Boring, Personal Stuff about Me I currently teach part-time for the IUPUI Computer Science Department. I am currently teaching the CSCI N201 Programming Concepts course. I have also taught the CSCI N241, Fundamentals of Web Development course and the CSCI N343 Object-Oriented Programming for the Web course that is cross-listed with the Informatics I210 Information Infrastructure I class. I make my living by working full-time in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IUPUI as an Instructional Technology Consultant. I've been the CTL since September of 2005. Prior to that I worked as a Senior Design Analyst for the Oncourse Team, working on the OSP and Sakai projects. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Indiana University School of Informatics in Media Arts and Science at IUPUI and a Certificate of Applied Computer Science from Purdue University at IUPUI. I have a Master of Science degree in Adult Education and a Certificate in Distance Education from Indiana University. I am married to Dave Shuck, who is a partner in an engineering consulting company called Vector Consulting. I have one daughter, Kristi, who is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a major in Computer Graphics. Kristi is a former number one singles player on the women's tennis team and was ranked as high as number 3 in doubles in the nation in NAIA women's tennis and as high as 11th in singles. A little piece of trivia: I used to be a tennis instructor. I taught a summer program for the Brownsburg Summer Recreational program and then later at the Indianapolis Tennis Center. |
