Final Exam Study Guide

Final Exam - Your final exam will be posted from the evening of April 21 - May 2nd 6 am, 2001. Go to the class webpage and follow the link at the top of the page under Information Central.

You will have 12 days to complete the exam. It MUST be loaded onto the phoenix server by Noon on May 2, 2001. Failure to have the final exam on the server by Noon results in an automatic F.

Hello students!! The best way to study for this exam is as follows: READING, WRITING, and TIMING.

READING: Read all, yes ALL of the readings again. That includes all of the books and links off of the class Readings page, Weekly Readings page, and anything else I have mentioned during the semester. You will want to be familiar with the information in the books and on the sites as you will have to research answers.

WRITING: Write out the steps and tags involved in creating the following:

  1. A table
  2. A framed page with two columns
  3. External, embedded, and inline cascading style sheets
  4. Linking pages from your existing Index page
  5. Imagemaps
  6. Downloading web graphics
  7. Properly crediting the source of your graphics - even if you made them
  8. Creating your own graphics

TIMING: Ladies and gentlemen this is not an easy exam and will take a lot of time. Give yourself plenty of time to finish it. If you do the preparation beforehand, i.e., the Reading and Writing parts, that should shave off a few hours from the exam as you will be better prepared. As stated above, if your exam is not on the phoenix server by Noon on Ma 2nd you will receive an F. No kidding.

Good Luck! - Margaret
