I have spent a couple of summers as a visiting professor at Siemens Corporate Research, Inc (SCR) in Princeton, New Jersey.
My last place of employment was the Texas Instruments, Inc in Dallas, Texas.
Before Texas Instruments, I worked at the European Computer Industry Research Centre (ECRC) located in beautiful Munich, Germany. At ECRC I was part of the User Interaction and Visualization Group.
Before ECRC, I worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Michigan State University. I participated as a faculty member in the activities of Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Laboratory (PRIP).
I received a PhD from the University of Illinois in 1986. I worked under Professor Narendra Ahuja on Computer Vision in the Coordinated Science Lab. The Robotics and Computer Vision Research group has since moved to the Beckman Institute.
I received a Bachelor's degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978. I worked on my Bachelor's thesis in the Laboratory for Computer Science.
