Call for Workshops
The 8th International Conference on Pervasive Intelligence and Computing (PICom-09) workshops will be organized by calibers in the areas of Pervasive Intelligence and Computing.
We invite proposals for workshops. Workshops provide the imminent opportunities for students, researchers, and industry practitioners to investigate, discover, share, collaborate on their research ideas, questions, challenges, modeling, practical implementation, development experiences, and lessons learnt on specific emerging areas in Pervasive Intelligence and Computing.
Each workshop should have at least EIGHT paper presentations and preferably no more than TWENTY. The workshops with more than FIFTEEN papers accepted will be granted with a free complimentary registration for the leading workshop organizer.
Please submit any interesting topics for workshops. Some possible topics (but not limited to) are as follows:
Agent-Based Intelligent Computing
Cloud Computing
Computational Intelligence
Embedded Systems
Sensor-Based Systems
Service-Oriented Computing
Smart Services in Pervasive Computing
Social Computing
Prospective workshop organizers should send a proposal containing the following information to PICom-09 Workshop Chairs.
Full name and acronym of the workshop.
One page Call for Paper of the Workshop
URL of the workshop web site.
Name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address of the proposer(s)
Short biography of workshop key organizer(s)
Description of the topics of the workshop (not exceeding 100 words), including: objective and scope of the workshop.
Description of how the workshop will contribute to the field of Pervasive Intelligence and Computing.
Note that if you would like to propose your own topics, please identify in the proposal how the topics are relevant to, and different from, those of the main conference.

Workshop Proposal Notification: July 21, 2009
Workshop Paper Submission Deadline: September 1, 2009
Workshop Paper Notification: September 30, 2009
Workshop Paper Camera-ready: October 15, 2009The organizers and chairs of the workshop shall have full control on the call for papers, forming of program committees, review and selection of papers as well as planning the workshop program. The registration fees for workshops will be determined by the conference (not the workshop itself). The fees will be paid to the conference, and the conference will provide workshop facilities including the working notes printing, the meeting room, coffee break, lunch, proceedings, etc.
